Climate Control Commisioning
We commission all air conditioning and ventilation systems
What is commissioning?
Commissioning is a test of the air conditioning / ventilation system upon completion of the installation.
Why Commission?
Commissioning confirms that the system is operating correctly, and to the standards outlined in the manufacturer’s operation manual. Commissioning also helps the end user understand the system through on site demonstrations.
The commissioning process can act as a “hand over” of the goods to the client from the installers. It is confirmation of correct completion by the installers.
What is involved in the commissioning process?
The basic air conditioning process logs, measures, and/or tests the following:
- Customer details
- Equipment manufacturer details
- System details (refrigerant, charge, location, model number and serial number)
- Pressure testing of pipe work
- Drain Blockage Tests
- Test of the Pump Operation
- Wiring Tests
- Temperatures of ambient room, heat mode, and cool mode
- Engineer Details
Ventilation Commissioning
Ventilation commissioning measures air flow at intake and extract grilles throughout the system, and it checks that the pressures and resistance are at levels that conform to design parameters. All air handling units, fans, and heat recovery units will be checked and logged during the commissioning process.
All air conditioning and ventilation procedures conform to
HVCA standards.
