Climate Change, Global Warming, EC Legislation, Building Regulations, F-gases and Ozone Depleting Substances.

These are just some of the more basic terms that are growing in prominence within our industry. Then there are the more complex phrases, abbreviations and acronyms such as hydro fluorocarbons, RAC systems, R22 and HFC Blends. As protocols take effect terms such as these become all the more relevant and simultaneously all the more confusing. Something that is not confusing is that all of the above form part of the movement towards Environmental Protection and we all have obligations to uphold the rules and regulations that have been put in place.

These days it is difficult to distance ourselves from our obligations as individuals, whether voluntarily or not, to protect the environment. For an individual the rules are somewhat straight forward, however, in commerce and industry the line is not so clear. Legislation is complex and regulations are numerous. End users, contractors and equipment manufacturers all have specific obligations, directly related to EC policy that must be complied with.

Understanding what action is required and when it is needed, in order to comply, is a daunting task. At N&P Climate Control it is our aim to enhance End user knowledge to the point where they can make an informed, rational decision regarding the design, installation and maintenance of their climate control system/s. We can only succeed by building strong working relationships with our clients with cohesion through communication.

Climate control is a fact of life within today’s society, there is simply no getting away from it. It is difficult to imagine anyone going through a day in their life without having their climate controlled at some point to some degree. A shop, a hospital, a school, offices, pubs and restaurants, factories and leisure centres all have controlled climates. The key is in balancing the need to control the climate within our daily routines with that of the environment as a whole, and do it in a cost effective manner.
